I have worked for Advantage since 2016, this is by far the best company I have seen on the road. Equipment is very well maintained, and in almost every case new. The office staff, communication is always key for a off-site employee and Advantage has always been great. Even in the cases where your normal dispatcher in unavailable the owners are always available and very helpful.

Pay has always been above industry standards, as well as receiving raises. But above all they support the drivers like no other. They even paid for tires on my personal vehicle. Not to mention the fact that I have received bonuses. I have worked for a lot of over the road company's Advantage has been the best by far.

Tractor 126 leaving the tractor idling with windows open. Weather wasn't really that hot to idle.

While traveling on Interstate today at 12:07 pm I was harassed by one of your drivers. I was traveling through the construction zone doing approximately 58 mph. The driver tailgated me and began flashing his lights for me to get out of his way. I couldn't move over into the other lane as there was traffic in that lane. There was finally room for me to move over. Turned my signal on move right when the driver decide to beat me to it. Very frightened by this drives attitude of "get out of me way".

Watch out for their drivers! I work near the main office. 10/26/21 one of their drivers drove like he was going to drive straight I got into the left turn lane and he went from right lane to left turn with a single blink of the turn signal. Good thing I'm quick to break. I followed him to the office and he laughed at me saying "There's the office."

Well run shipping and receiving. On time with both paperwork always ready. Other shipping and receiving docks should get trained to run like them.

Driving on I-80 east in Wyoming and there is a advantage Tran truck running other cars and trucks off the road. He was right on another trucks tail who was obeying the laws and driving like a courteous driver. When he was just able to the truck moved over and almost clipped the front of another semi. This is April 20 2021 in tractor number 109. I am a professional driver myself and his wreckless behavior is unacceptable.

Top notch equipment with superior maintenance. Loveable staff who want to know you. No nagging or micromanaging. Nearly every trip I get to experience someplace new and meet new people, but I also see clients regularly and have grown some great relationships. I really enjoy working here.

Terrible, reckless drivers! Trailer numbers T71, T87 and T113 were openly and obviously accelerating and decelerating to sandwich me and push me over 80+ mph near Lovelock, NV. Once they had their fun with me, they slipped back to allow me pass and then fell way back so there is no doubt that this was intentional! Since there are multiple reviews about reckless driving why is nothing being done? Are you waiting for somebody to get killed and then react?

Great company! Consistent miles each week. Flexible home time. Staff is quick to address problems or concerns. Pay is wonderful. And they train! Trucks and trailers are kept in tip top shape. Any problems are fixed asap. Wouldn't go to another company for any reason. Advantage is home for my husband and I. EDIT! After working here for awhile I feel the need to update my review.

First of all I want to say that I no longer work here. I chose to put in my two weeks notice and go to a different company. My reasons are as follows: The relationship between office staff and driver is severely lacking. There is little to no communication and the conversation you do get is generally one sided for the company and their ability to make money and not open to discussion.

They expect drivers to do the most while offering little in return. When disabilities are brought to the companies attention they are barely able to hold a discussion about meeting in the middle let alone actually doing so. Getting ahold of office staff while on the road is like pulling teeth. You reach voice-mails time and time again and when they do respond its typically through text or email which isn't appropriate while driving.

As one of the handful of female drivers at this company I was often belittled and spoke over when reporting issues with the equipment and made to feel less than if I didn't know something. If I put my foot down and pressed to be heard I was called aggressive. Pay increases were talked about initially and it was made to seem like there was momentum in that area but there wasn't.

East coast drivers start at.44 cpm and west coast drivers start at.46. After 3 years there with no at fault accidents and very little issues (besides disability issues) I asked for a.02 raise and was told.01 was all they can manage. Shortly after I left raises were handed out to drivers as a means to keep them considering that 4-5 drivers quit within a 2 months time period. Promises to do better and be better were never met.

My complaints were met with "your the only one" yet if you hang out in the warehouse with the other drivers it becomes painfully obvious that isnt the truth. Office staff will gossip about eachother and drivers. Office staff date one another and spend more time on those relationships than their drivers. It is more important to this company to make money and deliver loads than allow people to address medical conditions that can kill them.

One driver learned that the hard way after being coerced into driving a load even though medical attention was needed. They try and spin a family oriented value but if you live outside of Utah you may only see your family once every couple of months because "they can't afford to send you that way right now" or "they need the drivers atm" and that is all the time.

Its sad that what started out as such a great company and welcoming environment turned into an environment that is unwelcoming to women and the new generations as well as paying their drivers what they deserve to be paid. The entire company's goal is to make the most money they can without taking care of those who make them their money. Beware of all of this and potentially more if you choose to work here. And good luck!
