Air General, founded in 1961, is a US based Airline and Ocean cargo/freight handling and warehousing company based in Portsmouth, New Hampshire. With 34 facilities spread throughout the United States, over 31 airlines handled, and over 700 expert employees, we are one of the premier ground handling companies based in the US.
Air General Inc. was founded in 1961, and incorporated in Massachusetts by Robert M. Maloney Sr. Since then, the company has grown and expanded many times and has gained many valued partnerships. Today, Air General is operated by the third generation of the Maloney family. The company was initially established as a ground handling company specializing in handling cargo aircraft in Boston. Some of the first airline customers included Lufthansa, British Overseas Air Cargo, Seaboard World Airlines and Zantop Airlines.

Thanks to over 60 years of Ocean and Air Cargo handling experience, Air General's four customs bonded Container Freight Stations (CFS) are fully equipped to handle our customers CFS requirements both efficiently and cost-effectively. Our people are trained and knowledgeable in international documentation, customs requirements and handling of bonded cargo.

Slowest place in the world. Waited over an hour for paperwork to get done. Good thing there were only 3 people ahead of me

Receiving clerks are so slow like they are in training all time every time dock workers are a little more slow than the clerk's.

Don't offer restrooms even though you have to wait hours to drop or pick up. That's a basic human right.

Absolute worst wait time! The worst. Management tells the whole entire place to go to lunch from 11:30 to 1. Trucks will be waiting for days. Bill them accordingly. Someone please educate me on how smart this is? I'm lost. Split the workers up. Thanks, Logic

This place is the slowest carrier in the world when it comes to picking up freight. I go to many terminals throughout the week and never have to wait 2-3 even 4hrs for freight. Its usually only one person at the front desk doing i cant tell and answering the phone. It has to be a solution to this problem. As a independent contractor unfortunately i don't get paid to sit and wait and im also loosing money because i can be getting paid to pick up other freight elsewhere. Hopefully somebody in a high position can look into this matter to help us drivers.

Its 10 people waiting to get freight and o been here for an hr and a half and not 1 person been helped yet. Then after the long wait to process paper work you have to wait an additional 1hr to be called by forklift driver.

Arrived at 2:10pm waited in line just to check in over and hour. Then had to wait another hour to pickup. 2 hours just to pickup one small crate is ridiculous. This company is making a lot of money. But chooses to treat the customers like they don't matter and we owe them. Like they're doing us a favor for allow us to give them business.

Worst service in Houston. In order to pick up or delivery freight trucks waits hours. Freight companies choose different services if you want your freight be on time or pass the waiting time charged to you to Air General
