Services
Alaska Logistics has been providing marine transportation to Western Alaska ports with services to upriver and coastal villages, since 2003. AL's Terminal on the Duwamish River accommodates barges of any size, with RO/RO capability. We have the equipment and expertise to handle all of your shipments, small to large.
Bethel is the hub for most of Alaska Logistics lighterage activities. We have an office and perform all of our own stevedoring operations at the Port. We keep a complete array of loading equipment including forklifts, loaders, barge ramps, containers and shipping platforms. From Bethel we service the entire Kuskokwim River and the Western Coast of Alaska to the Mouth of the Yukon River. We winter boats and barges there as well so we can begin and end as early or as late as Mother Nature will allow.
Dillingham has become a very big Port for Alaska Logistics in the last couple years. In 2009 our mainline barge from Seattle stopped by Dillingham five times and it looks like we will be stopping in on almost every sailing in 2010. The Port of Dillingham performs all the stevedoring operations on the dock.
We have had quite a few changes at Alaska Logistics in the last year. We have acquired two Tugboats, three Landing Craft and six Barges over the last year and a half to help facilitate our Western Alaska lighterage operations. In addition we still run mainline service from Seattle & Seward to Western Alaska monthly.
