In the times we cannot come back home to the Philippines to see and hug our loved ones, Filipinos have expressed their love in long distance phone calls and texts, messages, and in sending back home balikbayan boxes full of gifts and necessities. Balikbayan boxes are a long-time tradition known across the Philippines and in all Filipino communities around the world.

Our customers find joy in being able to give gifts and share their blessings to their families back home in the Philippines. Recipients are often overjoyed and overwhelmed with gratitude especially in times of need.
Services
Atlas Shippers International, Inc. was established in 1993. It was founded on the understanding and experience of being an overseas Filipino; and knowing too well the feeling of homesickness that comes with being thousands of miles from your loved ones. And what better way to show you are thinking about them than by sending them a package of carefully selected items, bundled in a balikbayan box.
Here at Atlas Shippers International our goal is to provide the best door-to-door shipping services to the Philippines. We have expanded our services to include money remittance and travel services. Atlas Shippers International, Inc's operation and branches are located in Southern California and can also be found inside Seafood City Supermarkets.

Im not the type of person who leaves review, but this one is appalling. My 3 packages was picked up by an atlas agent back in dec2021, i paid $300 for it. It's now march2022 and my boxes cannot be located. We have tried all the numbers available to call and nobody can find the invoice number. Everytime i reach out, they just tell me to call another number.

I called the number and then i was told they would call me back, but no one has ever called me back or try to see how they can help me. I have been talking to the agent who picked up my boxes and all she can say is she doesn't know and is not communicating effectively. So now im missing 3 boxes for my family and lost $300 of my hard earned money. And they won't do anything to help or solve it.

They are very unprofessional. Instead of clarifying things why I haven't received my box yet, they just delete your comment on FB so it wouldn't leave a bad dent on their page. Don't rely on Atlas for your balikbayan boxes. I wouldn't recommend them. It takes a long time for your boxes to arrive because they don't dispatch them right away plus they're more expensive compared to others. They claim that they ship your junior box for free but you have to pay for the cost of the box.

WORST shipping experience ever. Dropped off my box on Dec. 21. My tracking code says it wasn't loaded into the container until Jan. 4 and did not even depart the origin facility until Jan. 18. When I checked my tracking code again in February, the shipment date was updated to March 8, over three months later than the estimate and double the time that customers are told their boxes would arrive. NO STATUS UPDATE PROVIDED BY ATLAS.

I received the first call from Atlas today, only to tell me that they revised my ETA to April 5, over four months since drop-off. Only reason they gave is that the "shipment lane is congested" (and omitted the fact that it's still "in California" until I called). No, my box has not even left the States yet. Why update the customer only two days prior to the revised ETA?

Most of the food and goods in my package will be expired by the time they arrive to my family. On top of this, Atlas REFUSES to give me even a partial refund. I understand delays due to the pandemic, but the lack of communication and consolation is a TERRIBLE customer experience and policy that they refuse to improve. HORRIBLE SERVICE. Never using Atlas ever again, and you should not waste your time or money with Atlas, either. If I were you, I'd go with another vendor.

This is the worst shippers company! They picked up my boxes on the 31 of December and they didn't dispatched not until January 30th (after a month). The ETA says at first on March 1 and it changed to Marching 15 and I'm not surprised if it's gonna change again! I contacted costumer service and all I can hear from them is they can't do nothing about it until it arrived to Philippines.

Some of stuff probably already expired and about to expired and they never reply about that! The phone call customer and email is useless because they never answer! I just wasted my money sending my boxes to this company!

WARNING! DO NOT USE this company! Their Bacolod City Agent stole my Jr. box they did not deliver the small box only the big box. I made a call and follow up on the jr. box they said they will deliver it next week and that would be Feb. 10 or Feb.11 my mom waited for the small box but it didn't come. Today, Feb. 19, 2022, I made a call again and they said they are looking for the jr. box. So, I believed they stole my Jr. box. If I could give '0' I would definitely rate them '0'.

I don't understand why atlas continue to employ people with no personality at all and very rude. I'm pertaining to the person who picks up our boxes in the Moreno Valley/riverside area; Jayvee. I have complained about this person and it seems that nothing was ever done. Atlas shippers, kindly look into this issue, please talk to your customers in the area if they're having the same issue with this individual.

He doesn't respond when being asked a question, he leaves the replacement boxes outside without saying anything, and when we forgot to buy a JR box and we tried to catch up with him, he looked at us in his side mirror and continue to drive away. Very rude and this is not the first time. Please please look into this. Your company may not need our business but having a person to go through this is really aggravating. Ms. Loisa please look into this.

Never had any problems in the last seven years that I had been sending boxes. It takes a while but it gets to the destination safe and intact.

Not a star maybe negative 5 stars. Big boxes arrived but the small box did not. Been calling the customer service and keep on saying they will follow up the boxes in the warehouse in Manila. It has been 4 weeks since and not even a missed call from anyone from Atlas. I asked about what happens if it got lost they just giving me the run around that they will find it but not how to get compensated.

I told how important what is inside the small box but seems nothing happened. The way my case was handled was absolutely terrible and until now nobody had contacted me or my family in Manila. I think I will complain in Better Business Bureau to get more answer.

Atlas is a very trustworthy company. Everything you send will be received. The trouble is the waiting. If you send a box in October it will not reach it final destination until February and that is to long. What use to take one month now take 3 1/2 months. Very slow delivery. No matter what time of the year you send it slow delivery.so just expect that.

Picked up a large (24x18 x24) double-wall shipping box. They are the only place around that has them in stock, at the store! Good prices too!

I have been using Atlas for years but recently, I sent a box to my niece in Quezon City, not only that the box was noticeably opened and the. retape the box, the entire contents crumbled into pieces. I have declared the contents of the box and labeled the box fragile but when my niece received the box, all the glass items were pulverized. It also took more than 3 months for the box to arrive. When I filed a complaint about my shipment, all they said was sorry and did not offer any compensation for the shipment that got ruined. I WILL NEVER USE ATLAS Shipper AGAIN

After a long time Atlas cargo no longer gets my recommendation: First of all the cost to ship has gone up big time. As of August 2021 the cost to ship a box 23x17 and 1/2 by 20 along with a junior 18x10x8 costs $69. Destination is Lucena City Quezon Province. They have stopped accepting credit cards and require either cash or checks only. They used to accept credit cards.

Not anymore. I can understand the 45-day wait. But that was before. It's been 65 days now and the box has not yet been delivered. The online tracking status shows that the box that I sent August 8th 2021 will be delivered approximately the last week of October 2021. If my calculations are correct this makes the delivery period 70 days. That is horrible especially for the price.

Sorry I understand the current pandemic situation but still the long delivery time to make this very disappointing. So Filipino-Americans who desire to send by Atlas cargo anything for Christmas 2021 will have to start planning as early as September 2021.

So far, shipping is reliable. Around Christmas, it took around 48 days to reach destination, instead of 30 days. Nice to have a "free" junior box but they made it smaller. What used to be 18" X 8"X 8" is now 17" X 6.5" X 6.5"

I generally go to Bayani, but last time I went to ship a box Bayani was closed, so I took it to Atlas. It is a little more expensive at Atlas, and I wasn't using an Atlas box, so I didn't get to take advantage of the free shipping on a junior box. The biggest issue I had is that they weren't taking credit card or check for payment on the boxes, so I had to go into the mall to an ATM, pay a non-bank ATM fee get cash, then come back to Atlas to pay for the shipping. This is the main reason for the decreased stars. Also, shipping is expected to take over 2 months from my drop-off to delivery.

Always come here to send money to the Philippines, their service is good but there were times when I came to send money, they were closed for lunch. They should learn staggered breaks or lunch because there are other people like me who can come at a certain time only.

I have never sent a box to the Philippines before so this is new territory for me. The person who answered my initial inquiry was very pleasant. They scheduled the pickup date and time and they arrived promptly, I even received a phone call letting me know they were on their way!

Sad to say I been with this company for a long time. Thinking of finding a new one. And it's sad because I like there service here in the state's. So I sent out some boxes to my family in the Philippines. And to find out that some of the boxes has been open and some stuff is missing. Question is WHY? Why open the box when it's not yours! I'm just so angry and upset!

Picture below: the box has been squeezed down it's because some stuff has been taken out. I know i packed all the boxes all the way to the top and it cannot be folded like that.

Came here on a weekend in the middle of the day. (Not on the final day before the next shipment.) it was leisurely. They came out to our car with a dolly that has height adjustment. So you don't have to unload your car nor move it with their hand truck. You get a "free" mini box with these guys. The shipment took a little longer than we were expecting, maybe by a couple of weeks, but we are also in the middle of a huge freight issue due to covid, so I'm not gonna k o o them down for that. All items arrived in tact with no damages.

Sent a box to Manila on November 6th; was told it was before Christmas cutoff meaning it should arrive in Manila before Christmas. According to the tracking, it won't even arrive at the port of Manila until January 4th and by the time it clears customs it will be well over two months and maybe it will get delivered by January 15th. I've sent over 200 boxes to Manila and this is the worst service I've ever had in 33 years of sending boxes. This is the second time I've used Atlas and it will be the last; very disappointing.

This review is for sending Balikbayan Boxes only. That is the only service I have used for them. I have been sending boxes through Atlas shippers for years. They do what they do best: get the box from point a to point b. This I have to hand it to them. They are solid on that promise. On the other hand, customer service is not their strength. The store itself is disorganized.

The signs everywhere. all of them giving you a tidbit of information about rates, box sizes, schedule, etc. No easy lookup. Prior to my recent visit, as COVID restrictions are loosening up, I needed to buy a box and find out rates and schedule. I tried to call them on the phones posted on the website. But nobody answered. I tried for a couple of days.

Just ringing, or even just disconnects. TIP: What I found effective is to use Facebook Messenger to chat with someone. I believe it goes to their corporate headquarters instead of this Milipitas location. There someone was able to confirm that the branch was open, I received information on rates and schedule. When I got to the store, I saw how busy the they were.

All counters were operating and lines of people (with social distancing respected) were out the door. I think I can forgive them for not picking up the phone. I have to remember, we are still in a pandemic. I was there to only get a box but I lined up. Someone lady was cutting the line saying "I'm only here to get a box". and all of a sudden, I felt like I'm back in Manila.

Good thing the line was moving quickly and I got served and I left. So overall, the experience was par for the course. Not the most pleasant, not the most efficient. but I get to the goal. I am posting a few pictures here of the information it took me quite some effort to get. Hope it helps the next customer! -- The next stage is going to be to arrange pickup.

I have not done this yet. I tried scheduling in the past but it was so unreliable I gave up and just dropped of my bag in the store. I'm not sure how this round will go.

Sent 2 boxes in September 23, 2017 only one box arrived on November 28, 2017. They said to wait for the next arrival of another container van on December 9. its not there. Wait for another arrival on December 30. it maybe there. What kind of tracking system do you have? obviously its not working. it needs to be upgraded. Finally got the other box before Christmas. Atlas branch in seafood city in chicago needs to do a better job in taking care of the boxes to prevent from splitting.
