DW Air was started in Blaine, Washington in January of 1988. Our primary customer base has always been the greater Vancouver, BC area. From day one we have excelled at providing our Canadian customers with the very best trans-border freight forwarding into and out of the U.S. Our success and growth over the years is mainly attributable to word of mouth advertising from our family of satisfied customers.
Although our name is DW AIR, these days, the majority of our shipments travel on the ground - but that doesn't mean they move slowly. Most of our ground shipments move via expedited trucking services. While we find that many of our customers seldom need to go with air transport, they do want their shipments to travel quickly.
All day long, we pick up freight in Greater Vancouver and in Greater Seattle. At night, while you're probably asleep, all of those shipments are transferred. It's just that simple. Of course, the same applies to shipments destined for Blaine, Bellingham, Burlington, Mount Vernon, Everett, Bellevue, Renton, Kirkland, Kent, Seattle, Tacoma, and even as far south as Portland.
To date, the toughest one of these we've completed involved rushing several skids of electronics from Burnaby to Portland. On the way, we hit Seattle at the worst possible time - evening rush hour. To make things even more difficult, it was Friday evening rush hour. Even more challenging was that it was a Friday when two presidential candidates were both in town campaigning. The freeways were clogged, and getting through Seattle took three extra hours, but we made our delivery on time. It's what we do.
