About Us Report

It all started in 1932 when a young Maurice Davis ventured off the family farm in Michigan's Thumb Region to start what would eventually become Davis Cartage Co. Fresh out of high school with a generous $700.00 loan from his Grandfather, Maurice purchased a Chevy Truck and began hauling sugar beets from the farm to a nearby sugar mill.

Heads up drivers. Vlasic jarred pickles shipped from here. Minimum weight is 43k. Reefer trailers are not recommended, but they will load you, per shipper. I arrived on a Saturday, around 4 pm, I had to deny the load, due to weight of load because they wouldn't cut any pallets. I wasn't gonna risk being over weight, and then have to sit till Monday to go back and get product removed.

Easy to find No overnight parking By app but if load ready you'll be loaded by FCFS polite staff Loading fast No bathroom Vending machines available

Good people you can park overnight in dead end street, not on property. If They have a load ready you can check in earlier and be out of your way in 30 min. There is no truck stops near by.

Overall great experience fast loading once get dock free opening. Easy to find off Michigan 23. Dirty lot and tight between docks. Only 2 docks loading first come first serve not matter appointments set. Not bad once loaded sealed out of there pretty quickly drivers.

Not bad but not great heavy pickle load was loaded correct just heavy and looks to be first come first serve with a big muddy parking lot. The 3 tears is for how dirty your gonna get loading was about 1.5 hrs

Loaded here today, for the first time. Very pleased with the experience. I checked in with shipping and receiving, and within three minutes of bumping the dock, ; the loading began. In another 15 minutes, I had my paperwork in hand and was leaving. I'd load here again and I hope to in the future.

First, let me just say that I don't actually work here. I visit different areas of their facilities in order to deliver food from my work place. That said, I've never encountered an employee there that I didn't like. From shipping and receiving and the warehouse, to the repair garage, to the main office.the place is kept very clean. Employees across all departments are always friendly, and seem to like thier jobs. From what I've seen, the bosses there are very respectable as well.
