Services
Doolittle Trailer Manufacturing came together in 1978 as a small, family owned business building utility trailers in the state of Missouri. Over 40 years later, Doolittle is still owned and ran by the same family. The family has grown but so has our business. Doolittle Trailer Mfg. is now one of the premier trailer manufacturers in the United States.
We take pride in the fact that we can say at Doolittle Trailers, "We Make It Easy." Our quality workmanship has earned us the reputation that sets our trailers apart from the others. Currently, we have over 180 models in various sizes and GVWRs to choose from. Our product lines include enclosed cargo, dump, utility, equipment, and deckover trailers.
I purchased a new 7712 Pipe Top trailer from Moore Trailers in St Charles, MO at the beginning of the year. When I bought the trailer, the salesman told me I would be happy with it. Now that I have it, I can't go a week without a "friend", family member, or neighbor asking me to "haul this", or "help me go pick up that".

Bought an MSS 5x8 from a dealer in Denver. Absolute garbage. Looks great compared to the awful tractor supply ones. But this thing is a pig in lipstick. Within 5 uses of hauling my atv, both fenders had come off on forest service roads and had to weld them back on. As you can see from my pictures, the steel meshing is barely welded on and all the VERY few spot welds broke within the first load of my atv, making the trailer the most embarrassing, loud thing ever to drive down the road with it vibrating and banging with every bump.

Literally every weld on the gate meshing and back end gave away within a couple hauls. All the paint cracks off of the meshing and rust; keep a can of rattle paint on hand after every trip. The only quality thing on it was the steel sides and the gate lies flat when empty. Luckily someone was willing to buy it off me regardless of the problems and then I upgraded to more quality brand.

My employer bought a bunch of these trailers to haul utv's. May be a decent homeowner trailer but no good for everyday use. They whole hinged tailgate assembly is junk. J hooks that hold the tailgate come undone and tailgate drags going down the road. Metal that holds the j hooks is super thin and breaks. Angle irons in front of trailer were not long enough so they are just overlapped.

Wood floor boards were cut too short and are now warping and sticking up in front of trailer. Spend a few more $ and buy a h and h trailer. Wont let me add photos to the review.

Bought a new trailer from them with a 5 year warranty. Chose them as they bragged up the quality of the painting process compared to other trailers. Bought it to haul a show bike and odd errands. It immediately started to rust. Called them and was told to find a body shop. They all laughed and said it would cost more than the trailer. Then the company told me some trailers had a paint defect.

No solution. Now it's 3 years old and so rusty the lights fall out now. UPDATE! After posting this they wanted me to reach out, send pictures. Have done that. They now continue to say someone will call you, or we will make this right. Then never correspond again. Each time I call a new person promises they will "handle " it.

Was supposed to be having a trailer built. Waited past the time it was to be completed. Come to find out it was built the whole time but just sitting on a stack. Pick up trailer and its missing a jack stand and had rusty spots in a few places. Talked to my salesman again who said he was gonna take care of it. that was back in June. Horrible customer service overall and pretty sad workmanship

Bought a brand new 22k goose neck with mammoth ramps drove 100 mile. As I was traveling on the highway another vehicle went by and the driver said the trailer is going sideways. Sure enough it is (badly) a rep from doo little called but blew me off. Turns out I had it taken to a trailer manufacturer locally and the said the tandems we're all out of tracking and was eatiy the tires. So absolutely will not buy another from doolittle do nothing. I gave them a chance to fix it. Paid 11k for the trailer and I got blew off

I have the pro series 8220. At first I really like the trailer other then if you so much as looked at it the paint would come off. I have now had the trailer less then a year and pant is almost completely gone (except where I've repainted). All the wiring needs replaced because the wiring crumbles when touched. The "Drive over" fenders and steps on sides are only tack welded in a few places then caulked. Deck boards are breaking from the few times of hauling my mid sized skid steer. Definitely not what I expected when I bought this trailer.

I purchased a 8.5x24 ft enclosed cargo trailer with many customized options a couple years ago and I spent almost $10,000 on it and even after getting a discount on it I have had numerous problems with it, the side door leaking, the side door latch swelling up when it got hot. Too many problems to list. I would never ever buy another trailer from Doolittle again I will take my business elsewhere. There is nothing they could say or do to change my mind about this review.

Mark in parts is absolutely wonderful to deal with. Knowledgeable, helpful, kind, such a pleasure to work with! We had an issue with a piece and he was able to fix it with no hassle. His customer service skills and attitude are superb.

Very very pleased with quality and most importantly the customer service! Had a few things I wanted done differently on the trailer and they drove out 3 hours away picked up the trailer for me and did everything I wanted. I couldn't be more happier and definitely will be a returning customer! Thank you!

I bought this 6x12 foot enclosed trailer in 2006. It is still going strong. We use it all the time. It has never, ever, let us down. Doolittle parts department people are great to work with. I thought trailers would eventually start leaking. Not this Doolittle trailer. It's still leak free. When I upgrade to a larger trailer, it will be a Doolittle trailer. Thank you for a great product and we will be back!

1/14/17 I Have owned many trailers over the years but of them I still own my two Doolittle trailers a 10ft single utility and a 16ft duel utility. Both have been excellent trailers they have provided 20 plus years of break down Free service and I use my trailers week in and week out. Other than regular maintenance (Bulbs, grease, tires & Brakes) I have never had an issue with either one.

I would buy another in a heartbeat but I think ill be passing these two onto my kids. Pros: overall a very Durable trailer, rough saw Oak floors were standard 20 years ago and have lasted the test of time stored outdoors. Top quality axles and brakes. Strong Fold flat expanded steel gates. Cons: Keep in mind my trailers are of early 1990 vintage Paint of 20 years ago faded quickly outdoors. (Paints today are much more durable)
