We haul most freight that can fit on a flatbed (sides and tarps available) or in a conestoga trailer. We also have a stepdeck and a hot shot available for smaller, regional loads. We run all 48 states and western Canadian provinces. With regular runs to Texas, California, Florida, Wisconsin, British Columbia, Manitoba, and Alberta, we are always looking for new shippers to come East back to Pennsylvania. Some of our common freight includes aluminum, motors, large equipment, onions, honey, and light poles.
In 1980 Ron and Lynne Cover owned and operated one truck. They grew by contacting local companies requiring specialized flabed shipping and by 1987 they had five trucks. Late in 1987, Lynne quit her day job and they applied for their own operating authority. Ron and Lynne knew they wanted to base the business on quality people and service from the first day.
We pay a percentage of every load and work hard to get the best rates. Benefit package includes pension (we match up to 3%), health insurance (we pay the majority of family health insurance), vacation and holiday pay (eligible by points system after one year) $25,000 life insurance policy, voluntary benefits include dental, vision, additional life insurance, short term/long term disability (driver pays for the voluntary benefits they choose).
10/25/2015: Our owner and CEO, Lynne Cover, was featured in the Sunday issue of the Lancaster Newspaper. Lynne, a breast cancer survivor, has taught us all to live by her motto: "Failure is NOT an option!". She continues to lead and inspire the rest of us daily. She was the inspiration behind our Pink Ribbon truck.
