I had always been an employee, never a business owner. Evans has helped me parlay my trucking experience and passion into a multi-million dollar business in just six months. We started our operation 20 plus years ago with 2 trucks and we are now currently running 100! We have always received the support, leadership and wisdom that is necessary to make our business flourish in the Trucking industry and to meet our goals. Founded in 1939 by Albert L. Evans, Sr. the Company started with two trucks handling LTL freight in the local Pottsville area. The company continued to grow in the regional LTL market & gradually expanded operations to Pennsylvania, New Jersey, New York & Maryland. In 1973, the Company established Intermodal services to serve Steamship lines in the port of Philadelphia.
Albert Evans, Sr. founded Evans Delivery in 1939. Without the benefit of a high school education, he created a successful organization that is thriving for over 80 years. Understanding the value of education, he later went on to acquire his GED. While he didn't have the benefit of a formal education, he was a very educated person.
