Unit #1214 clearly has no care for fellow drivers or anything. Not sure if it's lack of training or the mentality. Called in and gave em the trailer number and that wasn't enough to identify the truck it was hooked up to. If you ask me very poorly structured office management and training program for drivers if this is what comes afterwards. After reading reviews here it truly makes sense. Same can be said for other companies out there no matter the size.

The company just started a flat bed division a couple of years ago, there is still a lot of work that needs to be done. Dry van is where the company thrives. Also good if you have to leave the company they will not hesitate to get the truck serviced and ready for somebody else. As I was going to get the rental vehicle they took my truck with everything in it into the shop to have a PM done and didn't let me know that it was moved from where I had originally parked it.

Side note if you're going for the flatbed division you're not going to be making the pay that is promised unless you have a dispatcher that has been there for a couple of years. Also secondary side note. They are all overseas so you will never meet your dispatcher. If that is something that is important to you then I would go with an American company.

They don't have regular customers either on their flatbed division they go based off a load boards. If you feel like doing some owner operator type of stuff under the flatbed division like having brokers calling you every couple hours to see where you're at then go for it. And not having strong communication between your dispatcher and the driver

$10,000 sign on bonus for otr dry van team drivers is false advertisements/ misleading. Sign on bonus is a financial award to join the company. You shouldn't have to drive 25, 000 miles continously to receive $500.00 per team driver until you reach the $10,000 sign on bonus. So every 25,000 miles the team reaches is $500.00 per person So, it really is not a sign on bonus but it's actually a mileage bonus. Mileage Bonus is a financial award for making a target goal for mileage driven within a certain period or time.

As the Owner of a Drug and Alcohol testing company, Aegle Health, I do hear talk of many trucking companies good and bad of course. I was very impressed to see the reviews of excellence in HMD Trucking and its employees. I would have to agree the reviews match the Talk! Keep up the good work HMD!

NO Automatic 5TH wheel RELEASES. Hello upcoming Rotor cuff operation. A company that denies the latest technology ( 15 years out here) for disengagement of a trailer, has a poverty mindset. Their thinking being-- if we can save $1500 dollars on every truck why make it safer for a driver if the driver is stupid enough and lacks enough ego to disregard such a simple tool available. So sad.

I've been with this company for 3 months now, and I must say they are consistent. Not perfect, but reliable and consistent. The miles are plentiful and the pay is great. Shout out to my dispatcher Dino though. He's the best!

Great place to work honestly. I've been here almost a year and everything is awesome. Good equipment steady miles some weeks are better than others but that's trucking. What I was told while being recruited is actually what happens here and I gotta tell you I've been out here 15 years and worked for quite a few companies and it's very strange for a company to actually carry through on what they promise but this company does.

I don't know anything about this company at all except that this driver pulled up right in front of the docks so as to make it difficult for others to back in to load. He went and checked in and is still sitting right in front of the docks. There is a 3 acre lot on both sides to park and plenty of room. Not professional at all. He was still in the exact same place an hour later.

In reply to owner, It is not my job to tell your driver's how to have common sense or courtesy. The only reason you'd have written back what you did was knowing that had I said something your driver would've been offended and one or both of us would be in jail. Wouldn't it be easier to just tell your driver's the simplest thing is to just pay attention.

Look around. Don't do things you wouldn't want done to you. If it were me I'd just tell the driver to look around and see if there is a place to park that doesn't hinder progress but that's me. I've only been doing this for 25 years. Another thing. I didn't say you were only worth one star as a company. I stated that I don't know anything about this company except this one incident.

Now I have 2 incidents to warrant a low review. For the fact that you did respond, I will say 2 stars because the management payed attention enough to reply. Only 2 because you are wrong in that it isn't my place to tell YOUR employees how to do their job. It is yours.

My husband worked for HMD as a driver and he loved it. They have dedicated lanes, pay salary like a clockwork every Friday, professional and polite people at the office. If you do your part well as a driver - you will be happy there. We highly recommend this company!
