Lightning Transportation is one of the largest intermodal carriers serving The Port of Baltimore. Over Baltimore, we provide Local Drayage, Mid-Range Drayage and Long-Range Drayage to most points regardless of distance. Our Baltimore terminal is situated within minutes of Seagirt Marine Terminal and Rail Yards allowing us easy access to both Ocean and Rail Terminals with the ability to pre-pull and dray and stage containers to avoid costly demurrage charges.Lightning Transportation has overweight permits for shipments over the Port of Baltimore.
Lightning Transportation has a strong presence in Norfolk VA, serving the ocean ports and rail ramps in the Norfolk Area from our terminal situated in nearby Chesapeake VA. From the tidewater region of VA we provide the drayage of ocean and rail containers to many locations throughout the Mid-Atlantic and South Atlantic Regions.
