Fake service and promises, they never give correct information and neither owns responsibility for their failures and fake promises. Very Rude customer service. Never go with them. Worst service.

Not all Lykes Cartage locations operate as poorly as the dispatch team at the DFW location do! My company ships semiconductor parts and machinery throughout TX and use Lykes all the time. Beware of this location. The people who work in dispatch seem apathetic and like they hate their jobs and the customer. They act like you're inconveniencing them when you make inquiries about your shipment because they were the ones who forgot to dispatch a driver. Recently, I've sent them a load to be shipped to a location and back; they managed to screw up both even though all locations were within a 5 mile radius, all paperwork needed was submitted well in advance, but Caitlin and the other airhead managed to screw everything up.

I Have no idea if it's apathy, pettiness or plain stupidity. If you MUST use this location for your cargo, be sure to reach out to Jerry Salcedo. He is the general manager and the only competent person around. B

Lykes Cartage is the local company designated to deliver my Cost Plus World Market order. Over the last month, Lykes has scheduled delivery with me three separate times and not delivered or called to notify me of delivery delays. I reached out to them several times to inquire about my shipment and every time they told me they needed to do a "dock check." Eventually, they admitted that my shipment could not be located and said I should contact World Market to send a replacement.

When I spoke with World Market customer service, they stated that Lykes did not have my shipment for the first two delivery dates they scheduled with me. I can't understand how Lykes can be so disorganized, provide such poor customer service, and remain in business. Although I didn't have the option of which company would deliver my order, if you do, I highly advise against using Lykes. Ultimately, I cancelled my World Market order. It was a lovely entryway table, but not worth the continued headache of dealing with Lykes.

I am not happy the way they handle customer me, I've been waiting since 8 a.m. to find out when a delivery is going to be made today. They tell me between 8 and 5 PM. They should know and have a better answer than between 8 and 5 PM. I will make sure I would not use your company again. There must be a better way contacting the driver. I don't know how do you stay in business

Twice now, Lykes Cartage have given me 4-hour delivery windows, and twice they have failed to show. Delivery schedulers and dispatch operators appear to be helpless and offer no assistance. Both times I've had to track down my own delivery only to be told that the driver is running late. No one from Lykes has ever given me a call ahead of time, or offered to reschedule.

The drivers have been very nice. The dispatchers need to learn to take better notes. They delivered my items to a storage unit. I mentioned to Cameron, on the dispatch team, that I live 30 minutes from the storage unit. I requested that they give me one -hour notice before the drop-off. Cameron told me that was no problem. The 1st time they dropped off with 30 minutes notice.

I called Cameron and reminded him that I live 30 minutes from the storage unit. If they called me with 30 minutes notice, I was going to be late to meet their driver every time. He said he updated a request to give an hour's notice. The 2nd time they dropped off with 30 minutes notice. However, I was tied up and unable to call the driver back for 45 minutes.

By that time the driver had left the storage facility and did not return my call. I should mention that I had paid people to wait at the facility that afternoon for this driver. Since Cameron did not give me an hour's notice - like he said he would - we missed the transaction. This cost me money in wasted labor. On the 3rd drop-off I got 10 minutes notice.

I'm not sure if the dispatchers need to take better notes, or of Cameron needs remedial training. Regardless, that dispatcher team needs help. They wasted my time, my employees time, and my money.

Dealt with this company repeatedly with my previous employer (who at the time had both warehousing and logistic needs that Lykes was able to provide). Staff was always friendly, professional, and helpful.

On Friday, 24 February 2017, I was called on my private cell phone at 12:11 CT by a male employee of this company. He asked for some person I do not know. After I asked for clarification, I said, "I'm afraid you've got the wrong number." His reply was, "I think you're full of sh!t, sir." and hung up. I was forced to pick a star to leave a review. I will not blame the whole company for the behavior of one employee, but they need to talk with their staff about this kind of behavior.

Literally kept me waiting 4 hours! Went in and they're like "well you've been empty". soo when you take the paperwork, let me know to come inside every hour to check. Or even better GO OUT THERE AND LET ME KNOW IT'S FINISHED.

My primary trade show shipper sub-contracted with Lykes Cartage for one show. Lykes rush shipped the wrong pallet to the next trade show. They told me that I must have switched the labels on the two outgoing pallets. I asked them to check and they confirmed that the second pallet still in Texas was labeled for shipment back to HQ. When the second pallet came back to the HQ, it was in fact labeled to go to the next trade show. It has been two weeks and I still have not received an apology from them. Avoid Lykes at all costs.

Beware. Bad company to work with. Get everything in writing and proof-read contract. Bad experiences with company on multiple occasions.
