Founded by Jim Piper in 1969, MacMillan-Piper has become a well-recognized and trusted name in the Transloading industry. In 1990, MacMillan-Piper was purchased by Jim's son-in-law Steve Stivala and Jim's daughter Patty Stivala. For the next 29 years, Steve lead and grew MacMillan-Piper into the nationally-recognized company that it is today.
MacMillan-Piper is a family-owned business based in the Pacific Northwest, but is now offering transportation services nation wide and handling cargo from all over the globe. Our unwavering commitment to deliver better solutions to the industry is the driving force fueling MacMillan-Piper's nationwide expansion.
We are usually open 5 days a week (excluding holidays) even when the terminals are closed. The federal DOT and Washington State legal road weight limit for trucks is 34,000 lbs. on a tandem axle. The gross vehicle weight maximum is 80,000 lbs., as long as the individual axle limits are not exceeded.
