We got our start in 1960, doing more or less what we do today: helping to quickly and efficiently get trucking permits. Back then, we were just a two-person company. Today, we've grown into a nationwide footprint with 50 full-time employees at offices in California, Texas, New York and Missouri. The landscape of the trucking industry has changed considerably since then, but some things haven't.
We've been helping fleet operators, manufacturers and independent haulers secure trucking permits for more than 50 years. When it comes to route planning, acquiring permits and making sure your trip goes smoothly, no one has more experience than The Permit Company. Moving a load over 8'6" wide or 13'6" high, or over 80,000 lbs.? Chances are, you need an oversize load, wide load or overweight truck permit. What happens when you move beyond routing oversize and overweight dimensions? You get into superload territory. Superloads are typically large items that cannot be divided into smaller individual loads. Common superloads include large power-plant transformers, industrial-scale HVAC equipment, large construction and mining equipment, power generators, wind turbines or other large pieces of equipment.
