I don't understand how this company is still up and running! Please, do yourself a favor and go somewhere else, ANYWHERE ELSE! Half of my family heirlooms were broken, and my delivery was weeks late. Service: Interstate moving

DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY. The outsourced movers they sent to my apartment wound up costing me double my quote (almost $10,000). THEN they destroyed half my furniture and LOST my grandfathers custom designed glass table. The company claims they are not liable for any of it and do not care. I called multiple times and kept being put on hold. Every time I called back they said that they'd call me and never DID. Global Van lines are going to ruin your move.

The best moving company I have ever dealt with over the years w/ 4 major (full family household) international moves. These moves were done over many different years and Global has remained consistent over all those years. Our moves w/ Global were as follows: Houston to Singapore and then Singapore to Houston. Then, again, years later the exact same move years later Then, a few years later, Houston to Singapore (3rd Singapore move) and then Singapore to Subic Bay, Philippines.

Then Subic Bay, Philippines to San Francisco Bay Area. With ALL these Global moves the total loss/damage was one cheap drinking glass (not even $5). I'm sure if I had made a claim Global would have immediately sent us a check! They are excellent, which brings me to the understanding that there may be another outfit masquerading around as Global when in fact they are not (similar name).

Be sure you know who you are dealing with. Real Global was established 1933 or thereabouts. "Christine T's" yelp review of 8-8-2019 provides more info on fictitious Global company. Also, do yourself another BIG favor; NEVER use United Van Lines. This is based an a VERY lousy move w/ them. We had a lot of damage and missing items and huge ins. claim and all the nonsense and stress that goes w/ that while trying to move yourself and your family in and get your life on track at a new location AND, also, we had significant pilferage from many boxes of stored items.

I will NEVER, EVER use UNITED VAN LINES, again! I would not accept a move offer from them even if it was 100% free, but that is just me based on the hell we went through with them. I would NOT entrust them w/ my dog's dog-house. My employer tried United as our corporate mover at that; I had no choice. Guess they were trying to save money; remember, "you get what you pay for" or sometimes not even that!

Our next move is in 2020 to NM and I will ONLY be making one phone call; GLOBAL (the REAL Global Van Lines). Good luck w/ your move! Hope it all works out to your full satisfaction.

BE WARNED! WORST moving experience possible! They are complete liars and misrepresented themselves every step of the way. 1. They represented their moving company as a whole service solution in which the trucks and movers were all fully owned by them. Lie. The truth is they are a broker that contracts out the move to poorly rated (prob the cheapest they can find) moving companies. 2.

They quoted me a total amount for my cross country move. They called me 1 day prior to my move to let me know that the service would actually cost nearly twice the amount. They admitted no fault for their error and sudden change in pricing. They told me that I would pay the new price or cancel the transaction and since it was within 48 hours I would forfeit my deposit.

Despite the fact that they notified me in 24 hours. 3. They confirmed multiple times that there would be no additional costs to wrap and secure my furniture during the move. Lie. When the contracted moving company (Cheetah Movers - also a garbage moving company) movers showed up, they wanted to charge me over $500 to wrap furniture securely. 5. During my move I contacted customer service about the additional charges.

They left me on hold for over 20 mins and when I tried to call back it went straight to voicemail. One person eventually picked up to tell me the person who could help me (who originally put me on hold) was out at lunch. I can only imagine that was also a lie. 4. My furniture was damaged. Huge tears in my couch, broken table, shattered plastic moving box with items missing.

Some items were shipped to the wrong part of the country with no resolution. My main point of contact was JOE SULLIVAN. He is a LIAR. He is a liability to this company as he lied every step of the way through this business transaction. The owner is supposedly some guy who lives in europe, who isn't able to be contacted. If this is your business, you should reevaluate who you have running it. Reading the other reviews and they are all the same experience I've had. SUPER SCAM COMPANY.

Terrible experience. They did the old bait and switch on me and gave me a price and then told me I had to pay $1740 MORE when they delivered all of my things to my house, and told me that I would not be getting my things until I paid. My TV was broken, and there were scratches on my coffee table and night stand. I would have rather carried my items on my back one at a time and walked 1120 miles with them and it would have been a better experience. STAY AWAY!

This has been THE WORST experience of my life. This company is full of the most incompetent collection of people on the planet. They will take your down payment and then continue to feed you lies, have zero respect for your time, and have an "I don't give a ^&%# attitude" when they can't deliver on what they promised. Don't even bother paying attention to the "agreed upon" moving dates you discuss, they have tons of loop holes and excuses in the fine print. I'm writing this as I sit in my completely empty house as my shipment is ELEVEN days late, and I'm not even going to get my things for another two days. Did I mention today was supposed to be my first day of work?

In a totally new city and state? The customer service department is an absolute joke, there is zero communication between the various departments which are required to communicate in order to accomplish a move. Since my items were picked up on the 15th of last month I have yet to have anyone from Global Van Lines actually initiate a phone call to me about ETA or just what the hell is actually going on, I have had to reach out every single time to try to figure out what is going on.

For example, my things were picked up on the 15th and didn't get loaded in a van until the 27th! Was I told about this? Of course not. As today is day 11 of not having any of my items, I called clearly upset this morning and was told by customer service that they would provide me the phone number of the driver so I could call them myself. on what was supposed to be MY FIRST DAY OF WORK.

I promptly reminded her I've paid $2200 for YOU to know where my things are at and communicate with YOUR driver. How about you do your job? I got a ton of attitude, was put on hold without being told I would be, and then was told my things wound't be there for a few more days. AVOID THESE PEOPLE LIKE THE PLAGUE. I already have a case filed with the Better Business Bureau.

Great overall experience! Very friendly and helpful individuals that loaded and unloaded all of my goods and furniture. They were also very good at accommodating my requested dates and times for pick-ups and deliveries.

I decided to take a new job opportunity in Miami but my family and I had lived in the St. Louis area for 15+ years. We had no idea how to relocate our entire lives and belongings but were so glad we were referred to Global Van Lines by a friend. From the first call I was instantly connected with our own move concierge, Liz - she was so knowledgeable about the entire move process and had a ton of experience. Liz held our hand every step of the way, I never thought a long distance move would this would be as easy as it was.

Every time I called Global Van Lines I was instantly in touch with Liz without needing to be routed through several people - this was such a time saver. Our move concierge was always available to answer my questions and even helped us ship our car across country. who would have thought that they could handle this? All of our household goods arrived safely and on time, I would highly recommend Global Van Lines to everyone because no matter how far or short you need to go they will get you there on time and without hassle.
