Great way to get to and from the islands without having to wait for the ferry

I chartered a round trip flight for myself and two kids from Bellingham to Friday Harbor for Spring break fun, and we had an absolute blast. By taking the short flight, we saved four hours travel time by car and ferry. That gave us eight leisurely hours to enjoy and explore the island. We saw everything! We talked about US history, and geology, and glaciers, and whales and lavender and lime industry.

It was so fun and so educational, with no stress to "get back in line" for the ferry. We simply walked to the airfield after dinner, and our pilot flew us home under a bright rainbow over the gorgeous blue-green archipelago. Couldn't have been easier or more relaxing. And it is not that much more expensive when you factor in gas costs for the car, ferry tickets, and lots of lots of waiting. What is it worth to you to have a safe, beautiful and stress -free trip?

We live out of state and go to Orcas Island every summer. Sick of dealing with the ferries and Seatac, we decided to fly into Bellingham and give San Juan Airlines a try. Our trip from Bellingham to Orcas was pleasant and seamless. Friendly staff, easy, scenic, everything the other reviews say. However, our flight from Orcas to Bellingham was almost an hour late with no advance communication or explanation given.

The weather was completely clear. We booked as a private charter at a specific agreed upon time and I don't feel that commitment was taken seriously enough by the company. We almost missed our connection in Bellingham and this caused a lot of stress. That said, I would still consider using them in the future because it worked and there aren't great alternatives.

Been in many small Cessna, this guy is Tom is an expert pilot.

Flying out of Point Roberts to Bellingham. Booking reservations was easy, and the staff is a pleasure to deal with. This airline is wonderfully efficient.

Some days when flying to or from the islands the "Weather Gods" are less than civil. On those days you want to know the airline has put their money into maintaining good planes and hiring competent pilots. Our flight today was such a day and I cannot speak more highly of our pilot, his skill and his calm resolve. Having flown in many bush planes in Alaska's Bristol Bay region I have flown with some of the best.

Our pilot today had that level of skill and moxie. Have confidence when you book with San Juan Airlines that they will get you to your destination or they won't take off at all.

Flight cancelled due to wind; that's ok as safety first. But, then it became my problem to get to the ferry and on to the San Juan's. Poor customer service; there were several of us. Perhaps they could have organized some form of transport?

Chartered San Juan Airlines roundtrip from Paine Field in Everett to Point Roberts for a business trip. Booking over the phone was easy. Our trip had to be pushed back a day due to weather, which they warned us might happen when we booked in December to travel the first week of January. But when we did fly, it was gorgeous. Our pilot was the perfect combination of professional and casual.

I wish the flight would have been longer; the views of the mountains, islands, lakes and a waterfall were fantastic! The take-off was like butter, and landing on the grass field was smoother than some commercial flights. During our visit we needed to push back our departure by an hour and they were able to accommodate the last-minute change to our itinerary. Can't wait to fly with them again!

Saved our butts when we missed the ferry to san juan island! The flight was short and the scenery was amazing! I would pay to use this service option again! Definitely worth it!

I had a great experience with these folks. Customer service is above and beyond. Just very friendly.

I've been flying here for three years. At first I didn't understand the importance of this service but now I do and I'm grateful for it. Next time please let your flyers know there is a charge for extra pounds. I had no issue paying it but the staff is responsible for letting guest know this.period! I waited an hour over the scheduled time to leave, watched others go before me, and then was told I had to pay extra.

That didn't make me happy. Aside from this the flights and scenic views are amazing. For people with issues crossing the boarder this is your best option and it's inexpensive.

Great for traveling the San Juan islands a little pricey but the views are unbeatable!
