Our whole moving experience was made so much easier with L & J Moving. Gyna was very helpful with coordinating our move. She was very quick to respond to any questions I had and kept in touch with me every step of the way. Our moving team, Mark, Hector and Nelson were awesome. They were prompt, communicative, and efficient. I couldn't ask for anything more from everyone at L & J.

North American van lines, with L&J movers specifically, were excellent. Upfront pricing which was very reasonable. No hidden extra fees at end of the move. Was able to use a credit card, didn't have to have cash. The movers, especially James the driver, were professional, very fast but careful, fun, and efficient. They didn't stop until they were finished. Would absolutely use these movers again.

Michael Rudolph and his team were very amazing and moved our 3 bedroom apt from PA to TX. They delivered as they promised. I highly recommend using his services. Gyna and Ryan from L & J Moving company were great during the initial setup and inventory.

Moving is a very stressful time. Tom Lavin and Gyna made the process leading up to the big day as easy as possible. Mike & David arrived on time, worked quickly and efficiently and completed the job with time to spare. If you are looking for quality movers at an affordable price, please read out to L&J Movers.

I used L&J for a move from NJ to Florida. They were prompt, careful and very polite. The driver Butch got everything I own into a truck and safely to its destination on schedule. I would definitely use them again if I was going to move again

I had to schedule a move from PA to OR remotely as I was already living in OR, while my belongings were still in PA. I found L& J online while searching for cross country movers, and they beat every other option in terms of pricing, delivery speed and attention to detail. They picked up my stuff on December 9th, 2021 and delivered it on January 5th, 2022, which based on my past experiences with cross country moves was lightning speed.

My furniture was in excellent condition, no damages found. The actual movers both in PA and OR were friendly, fast and took great care of my things. The Booker and customer service people I dealt with were easy to communicate with and responsive when needed. Hands down I would highly recommend L&J to anyone looking to move. Thank you!

I would definitely use L &J moving company again and would highly recommend them. The scheduling was a little confusing since we needed to originally change our day. We were told delivery couldn't be until 4 days later. When we changed settlement to an earlier time they were able to deliver the next day as planned. The movers were absolutely a 10/10.

They were all so respectful and efficient. None of our things were broken and everything was placed right where we wanted them. They even remembered which rooms were which in the new house and placed the boxes in the correct rooms. All furniture was rebuilt correctly that they had to take apart. We were very impressed with all 3 of our movers. The price was definitely fair and they were worth every penny!

I hired L & J since I've used North American movers 14 times. I've always had particular luck and great companies move me thru them. This time however was the worst move ever. This company sucks! They are incompetent, derelict, lazy and don't know what customer service is. Their version of customer service is opening their and lying about everything.

They didn't even have the contract and fortunately I did, they lied about the cost at the end of the move, when I complained and brought up the contract and provided it to them, they made excuse after excuse after excuse. It's one of the poorest operations that are in industry, the VP / owner, Mr Fry is MIA, you can't get a hold of him, the move coordinator Kimberly is incompetent at best and lazy.

They don't show up on time to pack nor do they on the destination. They don't even have the destination city correct and when you bring it to their attention, they don't care or fix it. Ryan the salesperson is also a complete liar. When cornered with the truth, they go missing in action and then threaten to not deliver your goods and refuse to get on conference calls to sort out whose lying at L & J.

Buyer beware, you will regret it! They have the poor ratings they do for a reason. You will regret every second of dealing with this company. You've been warned. They have been sued many times and have many complaints filed against them with the DOT and other agencies. The employees also steal from you as they are packing and lastly, the employees complain about how Mr Fry doesn't pay them for their work and they have to fight with him to get paid. Obviously speaks volumes from the top down in this company. Good luck if you are foolish enough to hire them

This was our first time using a moving company. Our move was over 2500 miles (PA to NV) and our date was less than one month away during the busiest season (end of July). We contacted 10 or more companies most of whom never had the courtesy to respond to our emails and calls. Not only did Ryan from L & J call us back within 24hrs, but he also scheduled an on-site visit to assess the size of our move (and had a follow up call to re-explain everything since my husband was not able to be home when Ryan visited).

Throughout the process the team communicated with us and there were no surprises. The driver (Francisco) and both of the load/unload crews were awesome. Our stuff arrived a day ahead schedule and without any damage. We were told it would take about 30 business days after the move to determine if there was any refund due.and today the check arrived without even as much as a follow up call to the company for status.

The only negative was the cost, but we are so glad we went with L&J instead of the company with the cheaper estimate (by 50%). You get what you pay for. We highly recommend L&J!

The truck arrived close to scheduled time. From that point on the 3 guys on the the went out of their wsy to be extremely rude, uncooperative, and combatant with their language. They harrassed a resident, damaged the elevator by shoving the door open, damaged furniture, and refused to wear a mask. I do not recommend this company. Their standards are very low.

When i called to talk to HR department they tried to make excuses for them.it was hot was one excuse and no masks they told me they didnt beed one because we went to green. Well, in the lobby, elevator, and hallways the thermostat is set at 68 degrees. They were in the outside to unload anf the truck was about 40 feet from the door. As far as masks go the company and especially HR should be up to speed on state and CDC guidelines. Use at your own risk.

I hardly ever write reviews, but the experience was a comedy of errors, and I'd hate for others to endure the same experience. We made a cross country move, our move was door to door, so packing was included. The packers were careless with boxcutters, a boxcutter was left in our front the yard and another in our bed. Mass confusion aroused because of the exercise equipment.

The packers didn't have the tools, neither did the movers on moving day, and neither did the driver. Each group said the next would take care of it. In the end, we scrounged around the neighborhood looking for the correct tool, the part was placed on the truck without the tag, then when we arrived at our destination the part was lost. The truck also arrived three days past the window, and when the truck arrived items were damaged because they were not packed properly. (example: bending an unbendable bed frame, placing heavy items on a lightweight bookcase, handles snapped off of a weight stand, lost exercise equipment.) So, if you're considering using L and J movers, I suggest you look elsewhere. I've moved cross county two previous times, and this was the worst experience I've had.

Disappointing service and response I recently hired L&J Moving and Storage to handle my move from Pennsylvania to Utah. While their estimate was higher than other movers, I felt confident in their process, they verbally indicated they did not outsource work, and most reviews were positive. Unfortunately, my experience has been very disappointing. My belongings were not safeguarded within the vehicle and they literally bounced across the country.

The company that unloaded the vehicle in Utah was astonished and indicated that the shipment and contents had not been secured at all. Additionally, I have been communicating with L&J Moving since my move over 4 weeks ago to discuss the negligent behavior and to find a mutual resolution regarding their service fees. I cannot get anyone to have a conversation. I absolutely would not recommend this company for your move.

From my personal visit from Phil to Maria in the office, to my team of Mark, Ben and Walli (pardon the spelling) They were knowledgeable, professional and so nice. The guys were so fast, so careful and so accommodating. Yes, they weren't the cheapest but they were worth every penny.

They were on time and wrapped our furniture very carefully. The pack in was just as expected; on time and everything was put in place carefully. Couldn't ask for a better move experience. Their price was the best.

I reviewed this company recently and wrote about their dismissive attitude regarding our inter-state move in May, 2018. I cannot find that review in Yelp now, and I find that interesting. The followup to my initial negative review was that I received a reply from one of the principals of the company telling me they were so very sorry about my negative experience but, hey, mine is a small claim about a large move. Toughen up. I will repeat my initial warning: buyer beware.

I would give 0 stars if I could. We used L&J for a move from Feasterville PA to Beaufort SC. Their service was terrible, items were damaged in transport, and they still have not refunded money due us 3 months later. They are inept and dishonest. I would never recommend them

Wish I could give less than 1 star. I chose this company because they came in a little less than others, and the sales guy did a good job making (empty) promises. You get what you pay for. They destroyed the home I moved out of (which I still own) by not using any protection on my carpets on the second floor and steps. The result: black grease all over my carpets on the second floor and all 14 steps.

I immediately called the move coordinator and told her about it. Come dispute time, they had no record of my complaint, therefore, they owe me nothing to help with the carpet damage. Ironically, the move coordinator is no longer with the company. Well played, L&J. The second issue (of many) was that they were beyond late to my destination. They guaranteed me a timeframe of a Friday to Wednesday.

Closer to the move, said it would be Wednesday. Then on Monday told me it would be Thursday. Moved plans around and took my family from PA to FL on Wednesday, then they ended up coming on Saturday. I hate to say it, and I hate giving reviews, especially negative, but this company is an absolute rip off. They had no respect for my property or family and I never once received an apology or admission that what they did was wrong.

They turned a very stressful and emotional time for my wife and kids and made it worse than we could have imagined or prepared for. If you chose this company, good luck. If you have another choice, go with it. Where I saved $2,000 on the move, I now have to pay over $5,000 for new carpets let alone the expenses they BARELY covered to stay in a hotel for the time they were out of contract.

I never write reviews but am doing so to help others who may be as hesitant to get ripped off by another mover as was I. L&J was absolutely fantastic from start to finish. Maria was my move coordinator and was with me, in my best interest, every step of my move. She is super efficient and genuinely cares about you. My estimate was actually what I was charged, my loaders, Brian and Aiesha, were extremely polite, professional and hard working.

My driver Francisco worked so hard, stayed in communication with me, delivered early and was very caring and professional. If there were 10 stars, I would not hesitate. Such a great experience for my move from Delaware to Phoenix, AZ. By all means, I highly recommend L&J for a good experience.

They were the worst I have ever used. I stored my stuff for 15 months in between my move that they did from Allentown to Tampa. I was supposed to have my stuff in air conditioned storage. I had warped wood, holes in my couch and all my washable a smelled of vomit. I claimed on insurance and got squat even though my desk came off the restoration van onto their van and is now warped.

I appealed my claim and FORUM is just as crocked. Avoid this company and all NorthAmerican/Coleman etc- all owned by the same company and all crocked. I'd give them zero stars too if I could.

My husband and I moved from Bucks County to Wilmington NC a few weeks ago. I had hired L&J based on previous experience with North American. The process of moving is stressful enough, so to have a moving company who communicated with you during the entire process was so appreciative. They called to confirm arrival, they called to ensure arrival, and they sent us a fabulous driver (Louis).

The crew was so careful with each piece of furniture, they were neat and courteous and respectful of our property. On the back end, Louis and his guy showed up exactly on schedule in NC, and reversed the process. All of our property was safely delivered and accounted for. I would recommend this company (and North American) to anyone moving near or far. They were competitive in price and worth every penny. Thank you for making our move so stress free. Karen C

I used this moving company to move my and my girlfriend's stuff from Philadelphia to Denver. They were fantastic. Every item was safely delivered and accounted for and they took special care of the fragile items. The communication from them was over the top good. I received a call from my moving agent, Missy, and my driver, Mike, every single day once the shipment left Philadelphia.

I knew exactly where our stuff was every day without having to worry. When Mike arrived, he was incredibly friendly and super fast. I would definitely recommend this company to others.

It's been nearly a year since I used this company to move me from PA to AL. The reason I've taken this long is due to my experience with them and the emotions that dealing with them engendered. Now enough time has passed that I can give a more balanced review. This was the first time I have ever used a moving company and I don't know if I will again.

Certainly not this company. My main complaint was the fact that the driver over estimated the weight of my property by about 1000lbs. I can only assume he loaded me, fueled, and then weighed his truck as there was no way my stuff weighed as much as he claimed. After talking to the company about this I was informed that I would need to get a reweigh.

This was a hassle but I got it done. At every step the driver whined and complained about having to do it. But he did it with me standing there watching him the whole time. First he weighed, then unloaded, then reweighed. And wouldn't you know it but I was right. This company essentially tried to get another thousand dollars out of me to pay for their fuel.

Another thing that was annoying was I was told I would be the last one loaded and the first one unloaded. This was completely wrong. I was the first one loaded and the last unloaded. I had to wait nearly two weeks for my property. The driver also tried to pressure me into giving him a cashiers check for the full amount of the move when I had already informed his office that I would be paying with a credit card.

Not only that, but they wouldn't unload it until I paid the full estimated amount, telling me that I would have to wait for a refund once the reweigh was completed. Ultimately, I did get my refund but not without a good deal of screaming. I will say that the movers did their thing with precision. They were quick and cataloged my stuff thoroughly.

The unload went similarly quick. But the driver was not the most friendly and may have only done his job as efficiently due to the fact that I stood and watched him and his partner the whole time. Overall, this was a needlessly stressful situation thanks to some unprofessional behavior from this company. A company I cannot recommend anyone ever use unless they have no other choice. Forewarned is forearmed.

We recently moved from suburban Philadelphia to the suburbs of Buffalo. We had a fairly quick turnaround from my husband accepting his new position and our expected arrival in Buffalo. Moving is one of those "top ten" stresses in life- I know, as we have done it 4 times in the last 6 years. It is important to find a moving company that alleviates the stresses - not add to them.

Like some of the other posters, our interaction with the sales agent was not 100% positive. We were promised free boxes, to be dropped off "when they were in town, " which was apparently never. After getting no response to voice mails, my husband contacted the company directly and we were given boxes. Unfortunately, we were given about half what we were promised. U-haul was happy to take my money to make up the difference. However, that's the low in an otherwise very positive experience.

The manager and team working with us to load and unload were professional, timely and very careful with our belongings. We were given a time frame in which they would show up, and they were on the earlier end. The crew worked tirelessly both to pack us up and unload without any complaints or damages. Andy and Jimmy became my husband's best friends for the day, and had he not bought the house (and ya know, had he not had a wife and kids and stuff.) he probably would have been happy to go on the road with those guys, moving other families! That crew was the best part of the experience, and the reason why we would recommend L & J for movers in the future.

The company name should be "Morgan Bowel Moving & Storage" because they will make you &#@%! They were two days late, unprofessional, damaged a 150 year old table and lost another. When trying to collect on the additional so-called "Replacement Value" insurance, they offered $600 to fix a 150 year old table and said that the table would need to be smashed into pieces for them to pay the replacement value.

If you are moving, just sell your stuff and start new. If you cannot, rent a truck, you will do a better job than the so-called professionals. everything we packed arrived in tact. The things we left to them weren't so lucky.
