Taylor Truck Line was founded in 1957 in Northfield, MN by Jerry Taylor, who built the business around the term "customer service." As the business grew, he remained careful to not grow beyond the ability to serve his customers with the highest quality. In 1989, Jerry's son, Rob Taylor, bought the trucking company and has since expanded the Dry Van division while still serving the highest quality customer service. A successful company knows the importance of exceeding the expectations of its customers.

This company had a truck breakdown on a hot load. We set up a cross dock in order to make delivery on time and instead of allowing the cross dock they refused. I let them know that the cross dock needed to happen in order to avoid a loss of sale and their "General Manager" George Brooks immediately started yelling on the phone unreasonably saying I don't care we are going there.

After that they went ghost stopped answering the phone and had their driver stop answering phone calls so we have no clue where the truck is. After calling about 10 times Jody Green who is the dispatch on the load didn't give a location of the truck just said going to salt lake city I guess. Avoid if you want a carrier who will do what it takes to get the product there when it needs to get there.

So let me brag in MY company for a min. My wife worked here before and I rode with her as a passenger. I decided to get my CDLs for myself and went to a company paid college to achieve them. I then had to work for said company either one year or team for six months. My wife was able to come to said company and train me. Here's the bragging part. Taylor paid for a plane ticket for her to come to said company to train me. Crazy, right? No.

That is how amazing Taylor is. My wife took some time off and now we are buying a truck from Taylor and driving team. We are making pretty good here. Can't wait to get it paid off and call it ours for good. Thanks Taylor for all you do to support us as a team.

I wouldn't recommend working here.i didn't like it. Why do you need a planner & a DM when the planner sends you the load. I felt like my DM or fleet manager or wateva had an attitude. To all trucking companies im a driver i don't havta drive for you.i can go anywhere i want to and drive. The best part the equipment the truck was clanging, bumping, and knocking then i was told if i wanted to lease i would lease that p.o.swat-a-joke keep my last check you obviously need it more than i do.trailers so raggedy they ought to ashamed of themselves.the nerve to be a trucking company.

I discovered Taylor Truck Line by accident about three years ago and I'm glad I did! At the time I was running for that behemoth company where I was known as 360553. At Taylor I'm known as Drew! Taylor keeps me in a good running truck - both the Northfield and Portland shops are tops! It's a small family company with a solid customer base, mostly in the Midwest and Southeast which suits me to a T.

My fleet manager, Sue K is a peach and keeps my rolling and gets me home every two weeks. Success is a two way street. I do my best to run this truck safely and legally, make the pickups and deliveries on time - and I'm given plenty of time to do just that. Then there's the in truck scanner so I can file my bills right from the cab! Is any job perfect?

Certainly not, but my Taylor family has really gone out of their way to make sure I'm happy and taken care of out here. It really is the best career decision I have ever made.

I am a female professional truck driver of 10 years. I received a recruiting email from this company today. And in this email it was worded nicely and very "family" like. However a word to the wise for the HR Dept would be to generalize it. In the email the letter states that, "you get to meet mom; and she'll treat you like a son". I believe in today's society a better way to word that would be: she'll treat you like one of her own.

Also in the letter it states that you can, "bring along your Wife". How about significant other? I was very offended at the way this letter was worded, especially since it was emailed to me and I am a WOMAN! I did try to call the company, I started out with letting them know I wasn't interested in working for them and that I'd like to be off their mailing list.

And when I started to express how offense that I was that the auto email was sexually geared towards men. she hung up on me. I called again and got voice mail, left a message stating that I thought the email was sexist. and even said I would be writing this review. I along with all professional truck drivers get spam recruiting emails and phone calls all the time. However I've never been offended by or angered by one like this before. Not very professional in my opinion.
